The Author: Carl Turner
I am Carl Turner, a theoretical physicist who went to sixth form college at Gorseinon College in the south of Wales and then studied at Trinity College, Cambridge. Having finished my PhD student at DAMTP here in Cambridge, studying various topics in field theory under Prof. David Tong, I became a research fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. I'm interested in lots of parts of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics, but if you're interested in my academic work my INSPIRE profile is available.
Amongst other things, I spend a lot of time playing and writing traditional British folk music as well as music from similar traditions around the world. If you're looking for a ceilidh band in Cambridge or anywhere nearby, I would love to invite you to book Dancing Yew, or perhaps the ever-popular Cambridge University Ceilidh Band.
